you do not need to attend the Leader Summit.

The Annual Leader’s Summit is ideal for parents, volunteers, new coaches, and returning coaches who would like to learn more about the MN league structure and processes, how to start a mountain bike team, how to work with their schools, issues related to liability, and the unique intricacies of working with middle and high school cyclists.

New Coaches Track:
Who should attend? Any NEW coach, assistant coach or ride leader
The majority of people who participate in this course are people who have not coached before in the MN League. Other attendees are experienced coaches who would like a refresher training on the basics.
Prerequisites: Required webinar training to be completed prior to attending the Summit.

Completion of this 2-day course, is required to become a Level 3 licensed coach for the MN League.
New Coaches will be divided into two OTBS101 groups. Group1 will be held on Saturday Afternoon, Group2 on Sunday Afternoon. Register for the group you want. Bring your bike and a bike helmet for the group in which you register. It will be very difficult to change groups after registration due to trainer ratio balancing.
Breakfast and Lunch are provided Saturday and Sunday for New Coaches
Returning Coaches Track:
Who should attend? Returning coaches, assistant coaches or ride leaders who want to fulfill their NICA requirements or are ready to upgrade to a higher level of training should attend this event.
Prerequisites: Prior attendance at a Leaders’ Summit and completion of MTB101/OTBS101.
- If an attendee has already received credit for completing a Leader Summit, they can receive x CEUs for attendance.
- An attending coach can receive x CEUs for completing OTBS 201.
Returning Coaches OTBS201 will be held on Sunday Morning. Be sure to bring your bike and a bike helmet for OTBS201.
Breakfast and Lunch are provided Saturday for returning coaches.
