Which Summit Should I Attend?

Leader's Summit 101:  

Intro to Mountain Biking Youth Coaching

Leader's Summit 201: 

Intermediate Mountain Biking Youth Coaching

Primary Goal:  to provide training for people who are interested in becoming coaches, assistant coaches or ride leaders for the MN League. 

Attendees are introduced to the basics of coaching and managing a MN League bike team

Primary Goal:  to provide continued training for people who have completed a Leaders’ Summit and MTB 101 or OTBS 101 in the past.

Who Should Attend?

A)  Any NEW coach, assistant coach or ride leader
B) Any EXISTING coach, assistant coach or ride leader:

-who has never been to a Leaders' Summit
-who currently is a Level 1 licensed coach
-who has never taken the MTB 101 or OTBS 101 skills training

C) Any EXISTING Level 1 or Level 2 licensed coach, assistant coach, or ride leader that has never gone to a Leaders' Summit but they have taken OTBS 101/MTB 101.

D) Experienced Coaches who would like a refresher on the basics.

Who Should attend?

Returning coaches, assistant coaches or ride leaders who want to fulfill their NICA requirements  or are ready to upgrade to a higher level of training should attend this event.

Completion of the Leader's Summit:
- Is required to become a Level 3 licensed coach for the MN League.  
- Completes 5 of the 9 CEU’s required over a 3 year period.
Completion of the 1-day summit completes 5 of the 9 CEU’s required over a 3 year period.

- On the Bike Skills (OTBS) 101 Training  (Bring your bike and Helmet)

Special Event:   Sunday 4/29  2:00- 4:00PM  The 2018 Bye-Week Draw (A Coach/Rep from each team will need to be present)

PM:
- OTBS 201 Session  (Bring your bike and helmet)
- or Break Out Sessions

Sun. May 6, 2018 (Optional day)

AM: OTBS 201 Session (Bike/Helmet)
PM: OTBS 201  Session (Bike/Helmet)

During Registration, you will pick a time slot for the OTBS 201 session.
