Mount Kato Ski Area is just south of Mankato, MN, off Hwy 1. There is plenty of parking in the facility parking lot.  Do not park on the road leading up to the ski area. Volunteers will be onsite during the morning hours to assist with parking, please follow directions. Teams may leave their trailers overnight. Camping reservations must be made in advance.

Race Course Description:
The MN League will be heading back to Mount Kato for the last race of the season – a venue that can accommodate the anticipated 4,500+ people (racers, coaches, spectators, and sponsors) in attendance for the All-State Team Finale.

This is the only race in the series where all of the teams in the MN League are able to compete against one another. This means, for two days, up to 2,000 racers from 70+ teams across the state of MN, Western WI and ND came together to compete in the eighth and final race of the season.

Note: The racecourse for this race will be different than Race #7.

There are many spectator-friendly spots at Mount Kato to watch the races, and cheer the riders on. The course starts with a nice warm-up climb to the top of the ski area. Once on top, all racers make a large traverse along the back of the ski area. The course has a good balance of climbs, descents and technical sections with switchbacks. The approximate vertical gain per lap is 400 feet; each lap is 4-miles.  NOTE: This trail is NOT open to the public.  All other bike trails are closed to riders for the weekend. The only time to preview the actual course is during the pre-ride prior to the race.

Pre-Ride Reminder:
Prior to each race, the MN League offers a set time period for racers to preview the course. We recommend that all racers take advantage of this time and pre-ride the course. Any rider or coach with a number plate can participate in pre-ride. See the Race Day Schedule for dates and times of pre-ride.

There will be a food truck offering food and beverages.
